Carolyn Mason is a Los Angeles-based artist working in a variety of media including installation and performance. She begins with everyday, domestic objects and rituals -- whether a cake, a mop, or a family portrait -- taking them one-step toward absurdity or decadence and one-step away from our expectations of “normalcy.” Mason holds a BA degree in Psychology from Smith College and an MFA degree from Mills College.
